Young Thug wants to clear the air on his recent take.
The rapper caught heat when he boasted about his catalog during his recent appearance on Gillie Da Kidโs โMillion Dollaz Worth of Gameโ podcast, claiming that concert-goers would know at least 30 of his songs, a feat JAY-Z wouldn't be able to own.
On Tuesday (December 29), Thug clarified his stance via Instagram, writing, โDonโt have jay z on me cause of this internet sh*t,โ he told his eight million followers on the platform. โI was talking [too] fast but yโall know what I meant.โ
Thugโs backlash was severe as the rapper was seen trending on Twitter all day long for the comments. In the interview, he tried to backpedal a bit when the host argued against his claim. "I know he do," he clarified. "He probably got 50 of them bitches. Iโm not just literally saying him, Iโm saying ni**as who you thinking [are] โthe man.'"
Elsewhere in the interview, he went as far as saying that he won't perform cuts that the audience isn't aware of because he's "so scared" of getting booed. "I donโt even perform a song they wonโt know,โ he said. โThey know every song. It ainโt no dull moment. Every song. I ainโt even perform a song they donโt know."
