The real Scott Kelly is sharing his truth — much to the delight of the Jonas Brothers.
Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas stopped by the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (November 13) where they were happily surprised to meet the man of the hour, who joined the interview to share his side of the story after a video of a man reading his resume in the middle of the trio's Greetings From Your Hometown concert in Buffalo went viral this week.
While it seemed like the entire internet was rooting him on, Kelly explained that he didn't realize he was going viral until a friend shared the news while he was in class for an MBA program, per People. In another twist, he even knows the man seen in the video looking over his resume, Brandon Bieron, as they both served in the same U.S. Army infantry battalion in 2014.
After all of the overwhelming support and well-wishes thrown his way this week, from celebrities and fans to big-name brands, Kelly finally answered the question that has been on everyone's mind: Did he get the job? The answer may come as a shock.
It turns out, Kelly isn't even in the market for a job and never applied for a new role, telling The Washington Post on Thursday that he is already "gainfully employed" by a telecommunications company. However, he did end up reconnecting with Bieron, who he said focuses on hiring veterans for his company. He revealed that Bieron will join him on an upcoming episode of his national security podcast At the Water's Edge to talk more about the veteran community.
Kelly also made one last revelation in the interview, made even more surprising given his claim to fame — he didn't know who the Jonas Brothers were before this week.
"Can I share a real thing? I had never heard of you before this. My wife had to tell me!," he said. "I didn't have Disney Channel growing up, I didn't know!"
