Miley Cyrus is gearing up to release an album with boyfriend Maxx Morando, and recently reminisced on why she prefers to work creatively with the people she loves.
The "Flowers" songstress opened up about the long-awaited project in an interview with Harper's Bazaar on Wednesday (November 20), explaining how working with loved ones in the past, including ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, has set her up for creative greatness with her current beau who helped produce the record.
"I worked with my dad forever. That's how me and my ex-husband met each other. I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much."
The "Wrecking Ball" icon met Hemsworth on the set of The Last Song in 2010, per E!News, and the pair dated off and on for years before tying the knot in 2018. They called it quits in 2020, and went on to date other people.
Cyrus, who, according to People, went public with Morando in April 2022, revealed what fans can expect from her forthcoming album, Something Beautiful.
"It's a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music. The visual component of this is driving the sound. It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties."
The highly-anticipated project is slated for release in 2025.
