Britney Spears Dazzles, Picks Up Top Honor At 2018 Hollywood Beauty Awards

As it turns out, Britney Spears' foray into the world of fragrances became much more than just a side business after she launched her first perfume called Curious in 2004. Now, over a decade later, the pop titan has been rewarded for the ventures at Sunday night's (February 25) 2018 Hollywood Beauty Awards, picking up the award for her Fantasy in Bloom perfume, which was named Fragrance of the Year.

Presented by Revlon fragrance chief Ron Rolleston, the top honor saw Spears change into a sparkling mini-dress and show some love for Rolleston's role in helping create her fragrances. "I adore Ron. He's like my grandfather. I just friggin' love him. I want to thank Ron and the team at Revlon. It's always great working with you to bring our ideas, like Fantasy in Bloom, and all our fragrances to life," said Spears at the ceremony, which also saw appearances from Kerry Washington and Danai Gurira.

"When I was getting ready this evening, my sons were like, 'Mom, are you going to the Oscars?' I said, 'Well, it's kind of like the Oscars, and I won the biggest award there.' They were jumping up and down, and I felt really proud—but they were just ready to get my ass out of the house!" she continued. "Anyways, I also want to thank the Hollywood Beauty Awards for this amazing honor. Thank you so much and I am so excited to be working with [you on] all the new projects. HBA, shall I tell my sons we have a date for this time next year?"

It's not the only new award that Spears needs to make some room for on her mantle. In April, she'll attend the 29th annual GLAAD Media Awards and receive their coveted GLAAD Vanguard Award. Spears' allegiance to the LGBTQ community has been a long-lasting one. Just last year, the singer participated in Billboard's viral Love Letters to the LGBTQ Community project, sharing kind words to the community. "I have a secret to share with you. You see, it's actually you that lifts me up," she wrote. "The unwavering loyalty. the lack of judgment. The unapologetic truth. Acceptance! Your stories are what inspire me, bring me joy and make me and my sons strive to be better people." Add in her push for the Spirit Day initiative, her "Hands" team-up in honor of the 49 lives lost during the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting and her 2017 signing of an open letter against two anti-LGBTQ bills, and you have just a few examples of her recent advocacy for LGBTQ rights.
