Two additional victims and more allegations have been included in a new superseding indictment against Sean "Diddy" Combs.
On Thursday, January 30, prosecutors filed documents in a New York federal court to amend the current indictment with more context behind the allegations Combs is facing. The Bad Boy Records founder was arrested last September and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Federal agents didn't include any new charges, however, they now allege Combs transported his ex-girlfriend Cassie a.k.a. "Victim 1" and two more female victims across state lines to participate in his "freak-off" parties.
“The latest Indictment contains no new offenses," Sean Diddy Combs' attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement. "The prosecution's theory remains flawed. The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”
According to Billboard, the amended indictment alleges Combs ran his criminal enterprise from 2004 to 2024. It previously claimed he started in 2008. One new allegation is connected to the damning video of Combs beating Cassie in a hotel in 2016. The prosecution claims the mogul and his team bribed a hotel security guard by paying $100,000 for the footage after the incident. There are also new allegations that Combs was involved in a kidnapping where he "carried and displayed a firearm."
The amended indictment doesn't contain many details about the nature of the artist's relationships with "Victim 2" and "Victim 3" but, as TMZ notes, the documents allege he gave them "monetary payments, career opportunities, and payment of rent and housing expenses." Federal agents previously accused Combs of using narcotics to manipulate his alleged victims into fulfilling his sexual desires at his "freak-off" parties. The indictment now claims Combs used additional drugs like psilocin, a.k.a. magic mushrooms and methamphetamine to render his alleged victims powerless and coerce them into engaging in sexual activity.
Combs previously faced a slew of lawsuits from alleged victims who claimed he sexually assaulted them before he was indicted. He has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges. Combs was denied bail and sent to a jail in Brooklyn where he will prepare for his upcoming trial in May.
