Ice Spice got the people talking once again following her second freestyle for "On The Radar Radio."
On Saturday, December 28, the Bronx native made her grand return to Gabe P's prominent freestyle series. Once RIOTUSA's fresh instrumental began, Ice Spice stepped up to the mic and delivered a solid verse in one take.
"They don't know that I came from the mud/They don't know what it actually does," she raps. "Grandma died and it's leavin' me stuck/Where I'm from, n***as die with a slug/We was sharin' the pillows with bugs, How you see your own mother in cuffs?/But the strugglе was never too much."
Ice Spice's "OTR" comeback comes two years after her first freestyle helped catapult her into the limelight. She first appeared on the platform in May 2022 and freestyled over a beat produced by RIOTUSA and Chris Saves. The freestyle kept her buzz alive until she dropped her breakthrough single "Munch (Feelin' U)" a few months later.
The soon-to-be 25-year-old has accomplished a lot since she first stepped up to the mic at "On The Radar Radio." Ice Spice released her debut EP Like..? in 2023 and followed up with her first studio album Y2K! earlier this year. Over the summer, she brought the album to life in numerous countries all around the world with supporting acts Cash Cobain, Cleotrapa and Bktherula. Ice Spice also received four Grammy nominations including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Aqua "Barbie World" and Best Pop Duo/Performance for Taylor Swift's "Karma" (Remix).
