Fat Joe is convinced that 2024 might be the worst year in Hip-Hop ever.

Joey Crack shared his assessment of the year during his recent appearance on Math Hoffa's My Expert Opinion podcast. During the episode that dropped on Tuesday, December 17, Math asked Joe to share his thoughts about Remy Ma and Papoose's ongoing drama that exploded on social media last week. Joe basically added the estranged couple's feud to the hefty list of issues Hip-Hop's greatest acts have been going through lately and argued that 2024 was a "horrible year" overall.

“I woke up 2024 feeling like that. It’s been a horrible year,” Joe began.

“I was just having a heated discussion with my people like this might be the worst year ever in Hip Hop history type s**t," he continued. "This s**t bad. All our legends, all our mentors getting scrutinized. This is the worst time to be a celebrity in the history of mankind. I’m not sure you guys wanna be celebrities.”

“Like I got friends who are filthy rich that wanna be popping and wanna be a celebrity," he added. "I don’t think they want everybody in they s**t like that. This s**t crazy out here. This is nuts. The f**king world done changed on me. It’s f**king nuts out here. You can’t make it up!”

2024 was a bittersweet year for Joe. The Bronx native launched a new series on Starz "Fat Joe Talks" and performed at the iconic Apollo Theater. However, he also had his fair share of dark times. During Thanksgiving weekend, the veteran MC announced that his older brother Angel passed away. He didn't reveal a cause of death in his heartbreaking announcement. However, he shared the massive influence his brother had in his life. Joe also paid homage to his late brother on his new LP The World Changed On Me. The Terror Squad leader used a throwback photo of them together for the cover art and dedicated the album's outro to him. In regard to his thoughts about Remy and Pap, Joe said it's "a hard situation."

“I don’t like none of that s**t," he said. "What I can’t do is stop it. They won’t listen to me... It’s a different type of thing when you got a husband. Nobody comes to my house and tells my wife s**t. This is your husband. I can’t get in the middle of that, that’s y’all […] I wish this didn’t happen.”
