Michael Salgado is set to release a slew of new music beginning with the mariachi track “Botas de Charro” on Diez y Seis de Septiembre, along with “Tormento Ingrato” on September 30, and an emotional Country tune, “If I’m Gone,” on October 7. The two-time Latin GRAMMY winner shared details on all his latest music in an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation.

A mariachi EP release from Salgado is expected before the end of the year or in early 2023, which will include “Botas de Charros” and his previously released mariachi song “Aquellos Ojitos Verdes.” The EP will pay tribute to late iconic Mexican singer Vicente Fernandez.

“El Zurdo de Oro” also revealed his Country music influence comes from growing up and working on a farm in west Texas, where he listened to country legends like Merle Haggard, George JonesRonnie Milsap, and others. His country album, Blame It On The Beer, has almost 4 million all-time streams on Spotify.
