SAN ANTONIO, TX — Grammy-winning Tejano/Conjunto veteran David Farias chats about upcoming new music, his band, performing live, and spending time with family, including his grandchildren, during an interview with Tejano Nation before his performance at the 40th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival at Rosedale Park in San Antonio, Texas.

The David Farias Band performed Sunday during a star-studded lineup on the final day of the Tejano Conjunto Fest that included Los Texmaniacs with special guest, accordion icon Flaco JimenezJaime DeAnda y Los Furiosos, and Jay Perez.

The accordionist and vocalist, known for his decades with La Tropa F and stint with the Texmaniacs, announced that he will soon have new music for his fans.

“I’m going back into the studio,” Farias tells Tejano Nation. “My new music should be out by the end of the year.”

Farias, who released his debut album with legendary record label Freddie RecordsEl Maestro De La Acordeón, last year, added fans can expect his signature accordion sound along with some surprises.
