Katy Perry Consoles Orlando Bloom As He Prepares For Grandma To 'Pass Soon'

Orlando Bloom has reflected on the life of his Grandma Dorrie in a new Instagram post, admitting that the loved one will "pass soon," and girlfriend Katy Perry has sent the Hollywood titan some support during this hard time.

Late Thursday night (October 4), the 41-year-old actor took to social media to share a reflective post about his grandmother's final days. "Cherish the memories and moments and celebrate and respect the life," he captioned a string of photos of himself with Dorrie. "We all smile we live we laugh and we embrace a grandmother a mother a sister an aunt a wife a girlfriend a daughter a friend a child a newborn we are born we grow old we get sick and we die this we know so love and give love."

Bloom went on to admit that he's "so glad" that he got to be part of Dorrie's 98-year lifespan, confessing that he's "awake pondering and knowing that she too will pass soon now." "I shed a tear or two at the memories of Sunday lunch with Yorkshire pudding (she made the best) and roast potatoes and beans from the allotment and pudding and humbugs and walks in the fields or alone the canals and knitted cardigans the love and history," he continued. "I am so grateful for my grandma Dorrie I love you."

Perry shared some support in the comment section of the post, writing, "Love you angel," further cementing their strong romantic status after the two made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco in late September.
