We've got a story here that basically HAD to end with someone getting shot.
50-year-old Carl Forester of Skagway, Alaska was depressed last November and wanted to KILL HIMSELF.
He put his shotgun up to his mouth and was about to pull the trigger when his girlfriend, 43-year-old Elizabeth Rankin, saw him and tried to stop him. She pulled out HER gun . . . and pistol whipped him in the head.
That DID knock the gun away from his mouth . . . but it also made him accidentally pull the trigger and shoot her right in the chest.
Fortunately, she survived . . . but she's permanently disfigured from the shooting.
Carl was just sentenced to seven years in prison for assault. Elizabeth begged the judge to give him a lighter sentence.
